“Sell Cheap and Tell The Truth”

-Mrs. B (Rose Blumkin)

Founder of the Nebraska Furniture Mart, the largest furniture store in the world…This woman couldn’t read or write till the day she died. Came to America—on a peanut boat from Russia— with nothing but a tag around her neck, because she couldn’t speak a word of English. The American Red Cross saw the tag that read “Fort Dodge, Iowa” so they took her there. Then she moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Started her business from her house until it became the largest in the world. She worked until she was 103 years old.
